THE LONDON TO ALDERMASTON MARCH

The four day march started with a rally in Trafalgar Square on Good Friday, 9th April. It was some 50 or more miles from London to Aldermaston, so marchers stopped three times along the route, at the following locations:
Southall at the end of the first day's walk (Friday 9th April)
Slough on the second (Saturday 10th April)
Reading on the third (Sunday 11th April)
Aldermaston Women's Peace Camp organised 'surround the base' event, and Trident Ploughshares held a WMD treasure hunt. There was also music, speakers, theatre, juggling, painting, tieing messages to the fence, educational workshops and much more.
