The Ammeter is a men’s wax biker jacket designed as part of Barbour International’s collaboration with another global motorcycling icon, Triumph.
This masculine jacket is crafted with a distinctive beeswax-coated cotton outer, then washed and rewaxed for an authentic distressed appearance. Punched wax shoulder patches and antique metal hardware add textural dimension, while the cotton lining features the collection’s exclusive navy and red check. Styling is inspired by archive International jackets, which typically featured a cord-lined stand collar, waist belt and angled chest pocket – as seen on the very jacket worn by Steve McQueen as he raced his Triumph Trophy in the 1964 ISDT. The lining of this jacket is studded to take the quilted Charger Liner, making it a perfect choice for wear through the cold winter months.
