Created in collaboration with British designer Christopher Raeburn, the Snapper is a bold women's wax jacket inspired by the iconic Ursula suit.
The Ursula was a customised version of a Barbour motorcycle suit, commissioned by Captain George Phillips and worn by Britain's submariners during the Second World War. Honouring this legacy, the Snapper Jacket is authentically styled with a waist-defining belt, funnel collar with throat strap, two stud-fastening bellows pockets and cuff tabs. The addition of a caped shoulder detail refreshes the look, along with a printed waxed cotton outer that brings Raeburn's distinctive ‘snow spot' into the limelight, creating a fun, feminine appearance while retaining the military aesthetic. Contrasting plain sleeves and a cotton Barbour tartan lining highlight the blend of the two brands' signature prints and fabrics that punctuates this distinctive collection.
