A week ago, we were at Glastonbury and if you take a look at our brief photo review, I think you'll get the message of what we thought of it. I am sick of the "avaricious eyes" and hearts which now drive Glastonbury Festival. Once it was beautiful.

What a relief to be at Workhouse festival. Yes the weather was still against us, but what a difference in the "vibes". Smiles were everywhere. This small, local festival must surely be the way forward for the festival movement in our new and unpredictable climate. Small size means easy access to all the facilities and events, whatever the weather. Local involvment means co-operation and humanity to the fore. No stress - a good time for all, and very accomodating for families and kids. It is a non-profit organisation, and that makes it such a contrast to the other huge profit-motivated monstrosities which covet the headlines.

Whew, I must try not to get too worked up...

...It is situated in an area of outstanding beauty in North Wales...and there are lots of sheep there.

Could the Workhouse Festival be a model festival?

It's just a damned good festival. Let the photos speak for themselves.
